Body Shop Branding
This College project was based on my self-written brief, to re-brand the Body Shop.
However it contains a twist, as the packaging actually contains information on startling facts I discovered on the companies ethics.
I deliberately designed the labels to look similar to the current Body Shop ones and then stuck them onto their bottles and tubs I also designed a trio of posters, a bag sample and a brochure, which accompany the messages on my labels.
This project required a lot of banding and label research, as well as content research. I found that this project made me explore the area of criticial design and questioning, do we have ethical roles as a Graphic Designer? How does design influence and come into play, in today’s world of advertsing, buying and selling?
